Welcome to Softie. These Terms of Service explain the rules for using Softie, including routines, product tracking, period and cycle features, progress tools, community features, reminders, widgets, and premium subscription features.
By using Softie, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
1. About Softie
Softie is a beauty, self-care, and routine tracking app designed to help users organize skincare, haircare, body care, product usage, reminders, cycle-related beauty insights, progress tracking, and community discussions.
Softie is not a medical app and does not provide medical diagnosis, treatment, or professional health advice.
2. Wellness and Beauty Information
Softie may provide routine suggestions, beauty tips, UV reminders, cycle-based beauty insights, and general educational content.
This content is for informational and self-care purposes only. It should not replace advice from a qualified dermatologist, doctor, pharmacist, or healthcare professional.
If you have a medical concern, skin condition, allergic reaction, hair loss concern, pregnancy-related concern, hormonal condition, or any urgent health issue, consult a qualified professional.
3. Your Account and iCloud
Softie may use Apple services such as Sign in with Apple and iCloud/CloudKit to support account identity, syncing, and community features.
You are responsible for keeping your Apple account secure and for the activity that happens through your account.
Some features may require:
- iCloud to be enabled on your device
- internet access
- notification permissions
- location permission
- photo permission
- an active subscription
If iCloud is unavailable, some features may work in local-only mode.
4. User Content and Community
Softie may include community features where users can post questions, replies, comments, tips, experiences, and other content.
You are responsible for the content you post.
You agree not to post:
- harassment, hate, threats, bullying, or abusive content
- sexual, explicit, or exploitative content
- spam, scams, or misleading promotions
- medical misinformation or dangerous advice
- private information about another person
- content that infringes someone else’s rights
- illegal content or instructions for harmful activity
Softie may remove, hide, restrict, or report content that violates these Terms or community guidelines.
Community content is shared by users and does not represent professional advice or the official views of Softie.
5. Photos and Uploaded Content
If you upload profile photos, product photos, progress photos, or community images, you confirm that you have the right to use and upload them.
Do not upload images containing someone else without permission.
Progress photos and product photos may be stored locally and/or synced using Apple iCloud depending on your settings and app configuration.
6. Location, UV, and Weather Features
Softie may use your location to show local weather, UV index, and protection reminders.
UV and weather data may be approximate and may not always be available or perfectly accurate. Always use your own judgment and follow local health guidance when protecting your skin from sun exposure.
7. Reminders and Notifications
Softie may send reminders for routines, products, appointments, SPF reapplication, cycle tracking, or other self-care activities if you enable notifications.
Notifications are provided for convenience only. Softie is not responsible for missed reminders, delayed notifications, device settings, or notification delivery issues.
8. Subscriptions and Premium Features
Softie may offer optional premium features through auto-renewable subscriptions.
Subscription purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. Pricing, billing, renewal, cancellation, refunds, and subscription management are handled by Apple according to App Store rules and your Apple ID settings.
If you purchase a subscription:
- payment is charged to your Apple ID
- the subscription renews automatically unless canceled before renewal
- you can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple account settings
- premium access may end if the subscription expires, is canceled, or payment fails
Softie must also include Restore Purchases so users can restore active subscriptions.
9. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- misuse the app
- attempt to access data that is not yours
- interfere with CloudKit, subscriptions, or community systems
- reverse engineer or copy the app
- use Softie to harm, harass, or mislead others
- automate spam or abuse community features
10. Data and Privacy
Your use of Softie is also governed by the Privacy Policy. Please read it carefully to understand what data may be collected, stored, synced, or shared.
11. Account Deletion
If Softie supports account creation or sign-in, users must be able to initiate account deletion from inside the app.
Deleting an account may remove account-related data, local profile data, and cloud-synced data where applicable, except where retention is required for legal, security, or legitimate operational reasons.
12. Changes to Softie
Softie may change, improve, remove, or update features over time. Some features may require app updates, iCloud availability, internet access, or an active subscription.
13. Changes to These Terms
These Terms may be updated from time to time. When changes are made, the updated date will be changed. Continued use of the app after updates means you accept the revised Terms.
14. Disclaimer
Softie is provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not guarantee that the app will always be uninterrupted, error-free, perfectly accurate, or available on every device.
15. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Softie and its creators are not responsible for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of the app.
